Write to us
Or write to hello@first-minutes.com directly. It is the same inbox, and it works whether or not this form does.
Try it before it is listed
The app you are already using is the whole app. first-minutes.com/app runs in the browser, installs to the home screen, and works with no signal once it has opened once. Nothing is held back for a native build.
There are native builds for iPhone and Android, and they are not on the stores yet. No store badges appear anywhere on this site until they are — an app that is not listed should not look like one that is. What there is instead is a test build, and you can ask for it: pick Beta access above, say which phone, and send. You will get a TestFlight invitation or an Android test link back by email.
Ask for the test build because you dive, not because you need it today. The web app is the one that is finished, and it is the one to put on your phone before a trip.
A TestFlight invitation goes to the address you send from, so use the one on your Apple account. For Android, use the address on your Google account.
What is most useful
- A number that does not connect. Which country, what you dialled, and what happened. This is the one thing the product cannot find out on its own.
- A step that is wrong, or sourced wrongly. Name the card and the step. If you can point at what the source actually says, better still.
- A dive centre's plan that will not scan. Tell us which reader and which phone; the square carries the whole plan, so a failure is reproducible.
- Anything that reads as a diagnosis, a score, or advice. The app is not allowed to do any of those. If it looks like it is, that is a defect.
What happens to it
The message goes to that inbox through Resend, who process it as our processor in order to deliver that one message. We keep no copy of it. What you wrote lives in the inbox and nowhere else, exactly as it would if you had emailed us yourself.
One thing is stored, for one hour: a one-way SHA-256 hash of the address you typed, with the second it was sent, so that “three messages an hour from one address” can be counted at all. The address itself never reaches the database. Full detail is on the privacy page.
What this is not for
In an emergency, call first.
This form is read when somebody opens the inbox. It is not monitored, it is not a hotline, and nobody is waiting at it. If someone is hurt, call your local emergency number and a diving emergency hotline — the app puts both one tap from anywhere, and they are on the front page of this site.
We also cannot answer a medical question about a person, before or after a dive. That is the hotline's and a doctor's, and this project's whole position is that it does not get between you and them.
