Not a medical device, and not medical advice
First Minutes is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition, and it is not certified, cleared or registered as a medical device in any jurisdiction. It reproduces published first-aid guidance with its source shown on every step; it does not produce guidance of its own, and it computes nothing about any casualty.
Nothing here is medical advice or creates a clinical relationship of any kind. It does not replace training. If you are going to be responsible for people in the water, get trained by an organisation that certifies people, and keep it current.
The phone numbers
Every number shown carries the source it was checked against and the date. Numbers change, lines get withdrawn, and a number that was right in September may be wrong in March. We check what we can and we publish the date so you can judge it — but we cannot guarantee any number connects. Where a number could not be verified it is not shown at all.

Plans you build
If you are a dive centre and you build a plan with the plan builder, the numbers on that sheet are yours, not ours. You are responsible for their accuracy, for keeping them current, and for what your staff do with the printed sheet. We neither see nor store it.
No warranty, and the limit of our liability
First Minutes is provided free and “as is”, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. It may contain errors. It may be unavailable. Content may be out of date.
To the fullest extent the law allows, the maker is not liable for any loss, injury or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, this app or website. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — and in some countries consumer law gives you rights these terms cannot take away.
What you may do with it
- Use it, install it, print the sheets, put them in a first-aid kit.
- Show it to your students. None of that needs our permission, and none of it costs anything.
Do not present it as reviewed, endorsed or approved by anyone who has not reviewed, endorsed or approved it — in particular, DAN is not affiliated with this app, has not reviewed it and has not endorsed it. Do not remove the source lines or the not-a-medical-device notice from anything you reproduce. Do not use the name to suggest a partnership that does not exist.
Changes, and the law that applies
These terms may change; the date at the top says when they last did. Continuing to use the site or app after a change means those terms apply.
First Minutes is made by an individual in India. These terms are governed by Indian law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection you have where you live.
